Author’s Note

This book sequences itself around three narratives colliding on different levels: the cultural narrative of Asians in America, Cathy Park Hong’s narrative, and my own personal narrative. Splicing emails, texts, poems, reflections, creative collaborations, and photos—the contemporary and historical artifacts hang together and invite you to fill in the gaps.
